Basic admission only $30

- Dances Friday and Saturday night
- Workshops Saturday

- Tent camping or floor space in cabins
- Heated showers
- Wildflower hikes in the surrounding woods
- Beautiful view of and access to Lake Monroe (bring your own canoe or boat)
- Additional cost for BEDS in HEATED CABINS:
- $20 per bed in cabins closer to dance hall.
- $15 per bed in other cabins.
- Bring your own bed linnen.
- Preregister early to guarantee your choice. Priority
of requests is based on date registration form and check are received.

- 6:00 PM - Pitch-in Dinner (full kitchen facilities including
refrigerator and stove available)
- 8:00 PM - ?? - Contradancing . (Open mic. calling, Open mic. band, after John, Jim, & Eloise start us off.)
- SUNDAY:
- 8:30-10:30 AM - Breakfast provided
- 10:30 AM - Clean-up begins
Every year in April, Swing into Spring
has provided a week-end of
music and dance, courtesy of the hard work of Tom Morrison and other
volunteers.
John Bealle, Jim Johnson, and Eloise Clark from
Cincinatti will be our lead
band again this year, but many more musicians are needed to keep the music
going well into the wee hours, so BRING YOUR MUSICAL
INSTRUMENTS. You don't have to be in "a band" to participate. Many
pick-up bands are formed while hanging out during the day or on the spur of the moment late at night. There is much impromptu music all week-end around the campfire outside or in the cabin lounges.
Calling is open mic.
Dancing starts as soon as we get set up Friday evening,
and goes until we run out of dancers and music, usually around 03:00. Saturday there are workshops and wildflower hikes to whet your appetite for the always-great pot luck dinner. The Saturday night dance usually goes well into the early hours of Sunday. Breakfast is provided Sunday morning.
Everything is very laid-back and relaxed except for the high-energy
dancing. The dance floor is WOOD, but the dance hall may be chilly, so bring a warm sweater to wear when sitting out. Full kitchen facilities are available to prepare your contribution to the Saturday pot luck. Bring a warm sleeping bag or plenty of blankets. The bunks have matresses, but don't forget an air mattress or sleeping pad if you are tent camping or sleeping on the floor.
All this for the whole week-end for only $30 (+ bed space if desired).
Some Swing into Spring 2007 T-SHIRTS will be available at the door, but to reserve a 100% cotton T-shirt for only $15.00, order one in your size on the preregistration form.
Ransburg scout camp is about 20 minutes southeast of
Bloomington on Hwy 446, on the first road south of the Lake Monroe causway. We will be dancing in the main dining hall with the wonderfull wood floor at the top of the hill where we have Sugar Hill.
Camp rules: No Pets, No Alcohol.
