Dance Calendar

For intermediate workshops, EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. We will build on the basics that participants already know. Participants should have attended the Wednesday night contra dance at least 5 times, and should be comfortable with most of the figures (you don't have to nail them every time, but you should know what "courtesy turn," "hey," "square through," and "wavy lines" are, for example). If you're not sure if the intermediate workshop is right for you, talk to Tamara, Kyla, or Katie. MEMBERSHIP IS ALSO REQUIRED for the intermediate workshops. Becoming a member is easy -- pay $10 annually and complete a short form at the dance.

• September 21 (Tamara and Kyla) - Spatial awareness and recovery, fun figures
• October 19 (Kyla and Katie) - Role switching (or not), plus alternative moves

All intermediate workshops will also cover flourishes, communicating about flourishes, and other bonuses! You do not need to attend all of the workshops. Again, remember to sign up HERE.
