COVID-19 and what it means for us

We want dancing to be fun and safe! Please stay home if you think you may be ill or have been exposed. If you attended a dance and test positive for Covid-19 in the 14 days following the event, please let us know. See our Covid liability waiver for more details. Thank you for helping to keep us all safe!

Vaccination

For all BOTMDG dances, vaccination and one booster shot are required for all who are eligible (currently, that’s for all attendees ages 5 and up). Proof of vaccination is required. If your 2nd dose of a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine was at least 5 months ago or your single dose of a Johnson & Johnson vaccine was at least 2 months ago, you will need to show us evidence of one booster shot as well. People age 4 and under can attend events, but will not be allowed in contra dance lines.

Proof of vaccination (such as a photo of your vaccine card) can be sent to communications@bloomingtoncontra.org, or you can bring proof to the event you are attending.

Masks

Weekly Wednesday Dance at Harmony School: Masks are required in the dance hall (gym) at all times. Dancers may step into the hallway to take a drink or step outside for a mask break. (Note that the dance location will be elsewhere in July and August, and masking requirements are TBD).

50th Anniversary Celebration at Mike’s Dance Barn: Masks are required on the dance floor and are optional elsewhere. This allows for eating, drinking, and mask breaks at the tables surrounding the dance floor and outside, while keeping the mask precaution on the dance floor.

Sugar Hill Dance Weekend at Ransburg Boy Scout Camp: Masks are required on the dance floor and are optional elsewhere.
